This app allows you to write articles and publish them on your website! You'll find it pretty useful if you want to run a blog or a sequence of articles like news or maybe a series of how to’s. You can share these articles with your friends, invite them to comment and more.
If you want to provide the visitors of your website with interesting or informative articles, just click the ‘Articles’ icon on your Dashboard and get started.
Now hit '+' on the new window and move to ‘Article Management’ to add your first article right away!
Type the title, introtext and main text of your article in the proper fields.
Tags will help your users find the required information so go ahead and type in several tags in the field.
The created article will be automatically saved to Uncategorized category but you can always change the category simply adding a new one here.
To choose the category of the article, click the Arrow and push ‘Add New Category’. Managing your articles will apparently become easier if they are grouped.
Type the name of the new category and push the ‘Create’ button in the new window.
The same way you can add Article Feeds from different public news feeds like Euronews, CNN, The Guardian, etc. in the next section by simply creating a new field and entering your Feed URL. You'll find the RSS feeds on the news websites accordingly. Make sure to hit 'Save' once you're done!
To add the main or social images, just drag and drop the picture or click the field and upload the images.
By the way, adding multiple images will enhance your blog posts, that’s why we’ve also enabled Inserting more Images from your PC or making use of the Free Stock available due to the great integration with Unsplash. Simply search for keywords to find relevant images. This is it! :)
Just move the pointers to enable the options of sharing and commenting.
To add the commenting option, enter your Disqus name in the appropriate field and click ‘Connect Disqus’.
To create the alias for the discussions, type the subdomain in the appropriate field.
What about improving your blog's SEO as well? Just change the alias and add the page description.
If you are not sure whether you want to publish this particular article, you can save it to Drafts - click the Arrow to see all the available options.
To publish the article on a certain day, push ‘Schedule’ and set the required date and time or change the Publication Date by simply choosing the desired date on the Calendar.
Done? Hit 'Preview' to see how you post will look like to your site visitors.
Let's move on. Use these dropdown icons to see the published, saved or deleted articles respectively.
Besides, you can filter the articles according to the publication date or categories. Also, the search option is available - type the article title and you’ll easily find it.
If you want to change the arrangement of your articles, opt for Order by Ordering and drag and drop the articles around.
To manage the article, hover over it and select the desired option. You are able to edit, view or delete the article. To select any of these options, hit the appropriate icon.
To view the article, click the ‘View’ icon and you’ll see how your article looks or add a new one with a single '+' click.
To add a new Article to a certain page, just pick the Article Element from the Elements section on the Left Panel and drop it to the desired area.
All's left to be done is picking the one you want to see on your page, hit 'Publish' and voila!
Finally, if you're up to running a multilingual blog and have already added another language to your site, you'll notice a Language Switcher in the upper left corner. Make use of it to alternate between the languages and translate the content on your blog.
