Running a company that deals with customer details require the need to validate email addresses before sending out personal information. The Customers App, located on your Dashboard, allows you to easily handle email confirmation without hassle in your sign-up flow and without spamming your customer base.
When a customer signs up, a validation link is sent via email. On your end, head to the Customers App on your Dashboard, select the customer's name and go to the User Registration section> click on the "pencil" icon to edit the user and change the status from Pending to Active. This will verify your customer's account, and then they can log in.
!Note: The user will receive a notification that their account will be verified within 24 hours, after he/she signs up for your website.
Overview
The Customers App is divided into three sections: Users, Groups, and Coupons. In the Users section, you'll find users' data: Status, ID, Avatar, First Name, Last Name, Company name, Position, Username, Email, Phone number, Groups, Birthdate, Tax Id, Country, City, Address, Source URL, Last Login Date, Registration Date, Description, Attachments, Options. To manually change a user's information, select 'Edit,' located next to 'Trash.'
Use Search to navigate between users, groups, and coupons easily. You can also adjust the number of items that are displayed per page between 10 to 100.
Click on the Filter icon to add or hide filters. You can also re-order the filters and this way re-order the columns.
Customer Groups
Create your Customer Group by selecting the Customers App → Groups → '+ADD'.
By categorizing your customers, you can label and group them based upon specific criteria, such as All, Registered, VIP, Repeat Customer, Wholesaler etc.
Once you've created your Customer Groups, you'll be able to apply special discounts accordingly.
Assigning Customers to Groups
By default, all customers are assigned to the 'All Groups' group, which indicates that these customers aren't in any groups. These customers have either 'Registered' or 'Inactive' status. To assign customers to a group, head to the Users section, select the customer and the chosen group, and save!
Assigning Coupons to Groups
You can add coupons to individual groups by selecting ‘Edit’ and then choosing the coupon that will be applied to that group.
Coupons
Offering discounts and coupons for your online store can be a powerful weapon in your conversion arsenal to drive customer loyalty. You can create Coupons by simply clicking ‘ADD’on the upper right corner of this section. \ Select your Coupon Name, create the Code, and select the Coupon Type: Fixed Price or Percent, the Amount, and the chosen Groups.
Customers can enter a discount coupon at checkout and get a discount on their order. When a coupon is applied, the discount amount is deducted from the order subtotal – a total cost of all items in the cart, excluding taxes and shipping.
